This
subrace of goblins is named for the island where they were first encountered and
are most numerous.
Gothogan
goblins are small humanoids that, although related to common goblins, have
become something altogether different. Although more intelligent than their
lesser relatives the gothogans are no less a nuisance.
Gothogans
look almost identical to normal goblins, with their skin color being the only
difference. Gothogans have green skin, varying by shade depending on the foliage
near their homes. They wear clothing of dark leather, tending toward drab,
soiled-looking colors.

goblins speak Goblin and Common.
Most
gothogans encountered outside their homes are warriors; the information in the
statistics block is for one of 1st level. (See page 109 in the Dungeon
Master’s Guide for more about the warrior class.)
Combat
Gothogan goblins use their insect
minions, and their ability to climb and tumble to their advantage, trying to
keep their enemies at a distance where they can fight with their slings.
Pheromones
(Ex): Gothogan
goblins secrete pheromones that allows them to deal with insects as if they were
animals.
These
pheromones also allow a gothogan goblin ranger or druid to use their animal
empathy class feature on insects and even attract an insect companion (see
below) instead of an animal companion.
Skills:
Gothogans have
a +8 racial bonus on Climb checks and can always choose to take 10 on Climb
checks, even if rushed or threatened. Gothogans have a +4 to racial bonus
to Move Silently checks. Gothogan
cavalry (mounted on bees or wasps) gain a +4 bonus to Ride checks and usually
take the Mounted Combat feat instead of Alertness, which reduces their Spot and
Listen checks from +4 to +2.

Gothogan
goblin leaders tend to be druids or
druid/rangers. Gothogan goblin clerics worship Maglubiyet and can choose two of
the following domains: Chaos, Evil, and Trickery.
