Cey
Hecron was born in a small hamlet named Grelk on the edge of Deepwood. As a
child he spent a large portion of his time wandering in the woods. He learned
the druidic arts from an old woodsman named Freth that made sure that the people
didn’t anger the Circle of One.
When
Freth died, Cey became the watcher of the woods and he was a major combatant in
many different invasions from the drow from Deepwood, as well as the orcs of
Malek. He trained others to watch the people of Grelk in his place and went to
Drondar to try and talk to the Duchess, Justala Ulantis into sending troops to
protect Grelk from an incursion of drow. The Duchess granted the young
ranger’s request for help and told him he could visit whenever he wanted. The
duchess intrigued the ranger and he had never met a woman as beautiful and
capable a Justala. Justala and Cey quickly fell in love and decided to wed.
Five
years after Cey and Justala’s wedding, Justala died of a horrible wasting
disease. By this time, Cey was loved by the people of Drondar and the people
wanted Cey to become their ruler. He reluctantly agreed to become the Duke of
Drondar in reality as well as name.
