The Tekat campaign was a campaign based in the city of Arkhan in the evil nation of Tekat. The characters are humanitarians that are trying to aid the oppressed masses. DM: Lance Edwards Story OutlineCharactersWhistlerHalfling (ghostwise halfling) cleric of Kinsu. (played by Chris Kincade) The halfling known as Whistler was born in the shadow of the Spire in Deepwood. As a child, Whistler would stare at the sky, searching for a glimpse of the winged elves that live high above the clouds. Whistler has always been a daydreamer. He got his nickname from his habit of staring into the distance while quietly whistling to himself. He seldom speaks, but when he does he tends to speak softly and uses his speak without sound ability more often than not. One day when Whistler was twelve, he took an awkward step and plunged out of the tree that his family lived in. Instead of falling to his death, he was caught in some sort of magical field that allowed him to slowly descend to the forest floor. No one knows where the protective spell originated from, but in his heart Whistler believes that protection extended to him was a calling from Kinsu the lord of air. After taking up the mantle of a skypriest, Whistler began traveling the east to work good deeds until he is able to find magic that will allow him to grow beautiful feathered wings so he can soar among the clouds. Cassandra KnightHuman bard. (played by Greg Granger) The youngest child in a family of eight traveling bards, Cassandra finally got permission to leave on her own, kind of. She was forced to travel with a brute my family took in years ago by the name of Carokk. Cassandra's family is well respected in the realm of entertainment, so she and Carokk traveled from Ravenna to Star to Fork, entertaining the masses until she left to spread the family's fame in an town unknown to her, Ash-Melin. She decided to do her best to spread joy and harmony, and increase the fame of the Knight family. Grundel DeeporeDwarf (stone dwarf) rogue. (played by Chris Shaffer) Grundel Deepore is a member of the family Deepore of Clan Grey Crater. As a sickly child (by dwarven standards) he was relatively sheltered in his early years. His compromised sturdiness is most often revealed in his constant complaints of being cold. Though initially trained in the fighting arts, he eventually proved more capable as a scout. As his martial training developed, his trainers eventually gave up on him, suggesting he focus on the clerical arts. Though he enjoyed religious study, he enjoyed scout work and mechanical engineering more. Working with a mining expedition team, he honed his skills hiding from the denizens of the deep and sneaking through enemy territories in search of ore. After establishing himself as both a competent deep scout and devoted acolyte, Grundel took an assignment as a diplomat representing Clan Deepore in Leonay. With a year of excellent service in Lyon, Grundel’s superiors decided that his talents would allow him to operate effectively in the tempestuous environment of Tekat. Grundel looks forward to the challenges that wait in that infamous land. CarokkHalf-orc barbarian. (played by Dave Haynie) Separated from his family during a caravan move from their home where they were forced out by folk who had problems with an orc father and a human mother. After wandering for a day or two Carokk came across a small town and thankfully was taken in by the Knight family. He quickly grew overly protective of the youngest daughter Cassandra. Her melodies soothed him when he found myself getting angry over something. He decided to make it hi life's work to look out for and protect young Cassandra, mostly to repay the debt owed to her family for taking him in and treating him as part of the family. KerzogHuman fighter. (played by CJ Holtzapple) Kerzog was born in the city of Rhys. His mother died in childbirth and his father raised the boy alone. Kerzog's father worked many menial jobs to put food on the table. Klaerk, Kerzog's older brother grew tired of seeing his family struggle and decided to do something about it. Klaerk jumped on a ship to seek his fortune, hoping to return as a wealthy adventurer. When Kerzog was 8 years old, his father was killed in an accident on the docks and Kerzog was taken in by a veteran warrior named Astin. Astin taught Kerzog the basics of swordfighting. After two years of living with the old man, Kerzog was able to convince Astin to travel to the south to help him search for his brother. The two of them traveled together for six years before Astin was killed in an ambush by bandits. Kerzog continued traveling to the south until he reached the city of Ash-Melin. Completely out of money and food, Kerzog entered the city looking for a temporary job to fund his search. While in Ash-Melin, Kerzog met a gentleman by the name of Karl McCann. McCann is the high priest of the local church of Oldarin and he gave Kerzog a place to live and a job as a guard for local caravans. In the two years that he has lived with Father McCann, Kerzog has converted to the worship Oldarin. Recently, Father McCann has been secretly assembling a humanitarian group, the White Circle, to travel to Tekat and combat the evil in that land. Kerzog was an obvious choice to join the White Circle.
