The Beginning (Session #1)
Each character was invited to a retirement party in the city of Ash-Melin for an old priest of Oldarin. This priest, Carl McKann, joined the mismatched group together and made them a proposition. The church of Oldarin is creating a humanitarian group, the White Circle, in Tekat to help the repressed masses in that wicked country. He asked the character to join the group as a field unit of the White Circle. The characters agreed to join the group and were set to travel to Ravenna to link up with a group of dwarven craftsmen to set up the headquarters for the White Circle. Before they left the city, they were given a few magical trinkets to aid them in their quest.
Approximately half way to Ravenna, the party was attacked by a group of thugs. They dispatched four of the five and the fifth surrendered. The thugs were hired to kill the group, but the party was unable to get additional information from the would-be assassin. The party released the final assassin and continued on their way. Upon reaching Ravenna, the party met with the dwarven craftsmen. After one day in Ravenna the caravan, consisting of the party and the dwarven craftsmen, left the city.
Traveling north towards Tekat, the party was waylaid again, this time by a small group of dwarves. While traveling the party had made a habit of camping some distance away form the boisterous dwarven craftsmen and this practice made it possible for a small group of turncoats to creep towards the party's camp, unfortunately for them they were spotted before they were able to get the drop on the mostly sleeping party. The party made short work of the dwarven thugs, and later found out that the dwarven thugs had infiltrated the caravan of craftsmen.
Wary of more possible assassins, the caravan continued north stopping just outside of the village of Elf Friend. The party entered the village to get a good night's sleep in an inn, buy some supplies, and stop in at a church of Oldarin to pay their respects to the deity.
