Sessions 43: Birdy Voight
After some explaining and Ignatius vouching for them, the group was able to continue their search for Hilden’s Four.
Corwynne teleported to their Alranda headquarters, bringing Jelana to Xraxus to aid in the search. Jelana has a way of finding information that the rest of the group can’t. After a night of information gathering posing as an artifact dealer, she finally got a bite. A wizard named Rafferty said he knew of someone that would like to make a deal. After some questioning, Rafferty offered to set up a meeting with his friend, Hilden O’Hare. The wizard said it would take a few days for him to set up the meeting. The group was thrilled, they would finally be able to track down Hilden’s Four.
A couple of days later, Ignatius contacted the group, informing them that they had caught a tax collector that was a member of the Gamoners. The tax collector was the one that allowed the Gamoners entrance to City Hall. Ignatius took the group to the Asylum, a prison on an island in the center of the harbor.
The group questioned the tax collector. They cut a deal with him on Ignatius’ authority that the man would tell them everything he knows and the Xraxan authorities would exile the former tax collector.
The taxman told them some information about the leadership of the Gamoners, of which the most important was that the current leader, Birdy Voight, is a pit fiend.
They decided to
prepare and assault the creature at his home below the streets of Xraxus. The
next day, fully prepared with magical protections in place, the group assaulted
the pit fiend’s lair. After a hard fought battle, the party stood victorious.
Hilden’s Four is next…
